Maverick NDT, LLC. HSE Policy Statement

The long-term business success of Maverick NDT depends on our ability to perform safe, healthy, and environmentally conscience work. The quality of our work is inherently dependent upon safe jobs; instituting it through management, demanding it from our employees, and delivering it to our customers. No matter the situation, we must ensure human health, operational safety, environmental protection, quality enhancement, and community goodwill. This commitment is in the best interests of our customers, our employees and the communities in which we live and work.

Maverick NDT requires the active commitment to, and accountability for, Health & Safety from all employees. Line management has a leadership role in the communication and implementation of, and ensuring compliance with, Health & Safety policies and standards. We are committed to:

  • Protect, and strive for improvement of the health, safety and security of our people at all times

  • Eliminate known hazards, mitigate incidents before they occur, and continually improve upon our practices

  • Meet specified customer requirements and ensure continuous customer satisfaction;

  • Set Health & Safety performance objectives that are in line with quality services and products through the use of an effective management system

  • Plan for, respond to and recover from any emergency, crisis or business disruption

  • Minimize our impact on the environment through pollution prevention, reduction of natural resource consumption and emissions, and the reduction and recycling of waste

  • Apply our technical skills to all Health & Safety aspects in the design and engineering of our services and products

  • Communicate openly with employees and customers; ensuring an understanding of our Health & Safety policies, standards, programs and performance

Maverick NDT maintains its standards and achieves its goals by integrating the conditions of safety into the processes of our work. A culture of responsibility, not liability, is reinforced through an ongoing program that includes:

  • Situational hazard identification

  • Hazardous materials communication

  • Incident and emergency response with follow-up investigation

  • Power tool, vehicle, and mechanized equipment operation and awareness training with preventive maintenance

  • Proper use of personal protective equipment

  • Safe workplace practices and procedures

  • Drug and alcohol program

The commitments listed are in addition to our core obligations to comply with Maverick NDT standards as well as all applicable laws and regulations where we operate. Maverick NDT is a proud member of the auditing firms ISNetworld and PICS Auditing. This is critical to our business success because it allows us to systematically minimize all losses and achieve customer and employee satisfaction.

Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s) are a vital component to being successful with any task. The Maverick NDT Health & Safety Department employs thorough step-by-step procedural guides to aid in training and standardizing operations. They include safety reminders and alerts, an overview of the task to be performed and detailed written instructions with explanations. The Safety SOP’s are an excellent tool in pre-work planning when used in conjunction with the Job Safety Analysis Worksheet. By clearly defining, identifying, and communicating safety and operating procedures throughout the organization we can ensure quality work for our customers.

Onsite Safety Inspections by Maverick NDT Health & Safety Personnel ensure that we work by safety standards necessary for the industry, by regulation, and to maintain a healthy, quality driven workforce. Maverick NDT’s Certified Inspectors are mobile professionals and we are committed to providing the same quality standards no matter where the job takes us. Our onsite safety program helps us proactively identify and correct health and safety compliance issues before they become accidents or injuries.
